Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

WARNING: FIRE HAZARD! Disconnect battery ground strap when working on the fuel system. Do not smoke or create any sparks where odor of fuel vapor is present.

Fuel Supply Components:

1. Slowly and carefully loosen the banjo fitting on the fuel pump (high pressure side), relieving residual fuel pressure. Cover with a clean rag when doing so to avoid spraying fuel.
2. Once pressure is relieved, disconnect electrical connections and remove fuel pump.
