^ identification: groove approx. 15 mm below head
^ if installed, link rod on opposite side must be same length

A link rod shortened by 3 mm is installed on the following vehicles:

Front wheel drive: from VIN 8AM 301 238

All wheel drive: from VIN 8AM 280 001

The shorter link rod can be identified by a groove approximately 15 mm under the head of the rod.

The shorter link rod will be the only one available when existing stocks of the previous link rod, Part No. 893 407 465, are used up.

When replacing a link rod, always use the same length part on both right and left sides of the vehicle.
