Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

TEST CONDITIONS
- Fuses OK (check according to wiring diagram.
- Ambient temperature above 10° C (50° F).
- Engine at normal operating temperature.
- Vehicle not parked in direct sunlight.

Use Chart 3 to determine calculated inside temperature.
- Example: If Channels 2 or 3 display a code of 113 on Control head, calculated temperature according to Chart 3 is 86°F (30°C).

NOTES:
- The measurement value of the temperature sensor can deviate significantly from the ambient temperature because of the temperature increase at the installation location. The comparable inside temperature is always to be measured at the installation location of the sensor.

- The diagnostic display on Channels 2 and 3 may stay at 128 if fault is with the sensor.
