Testing Conditions

Requirements:
Engine coolant temp. at least 80°C (176°F).
All electrical consumers (including A/C) switched OFF.
Radiator fan must not be running while performing tests.
Vacuum connections must all be tight and without leaks.
Vacuum hoses must not be pinched or plugged.
Make sure that the harness plug to the EGR temperature sensor is connected.
Make sure that the EGR frequency valve harness plug (located on the drivers side of the engine near the throttle rod bellcrank) is connected.
Make sure that all vacuum lines are connected properly.
