Ignition Switch: Testing and Inspection

Quick-Checks:

1. Check power from ignition/start switch to the fuse/relay panel "15" circuit by checking the operation of the back-up lights:

- Select reverse gear
- Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position Back-up lights should be on
- Turn the ignition switch to the "Start" position Back-up lights should stay on

2. Check power from the ignition/start switch (terminal 75) to the "X" (load-reduction) circuit by checking the operation of the headlights:

- Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position
- Turn headlight switch on Headlights should operate
- Turn the ignition switch to the "Start" position Headlights should go out

3. Check the load reduction relay and power to fuse/relay panel X (load-reduction) circuit by checking the operation of the ventilation blower:

- Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position
- Turn blower switch (fresh air fan) on Blower should run
