Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
- Remove left transmission support, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
- Unscrew selector lever cable at selector shaft lever.





- Turn back lever clamping screw (arrow-1-) fully and pull lever off selector shaft.
- Loosen multi-function Transmission Range (TR) switch mounting screws (arrow -2-) and pull switch off selector shaft.

INSTALLATION
- Turn selector shaft -1- in opposite direction of travel into Ups position (as far as stop) with 8 mm open-end wrench.
Then turn selector shaft back two detents into "N" position.
- Fit multi-function TR switch onto selector shaft and insert mounting screws only far enough to still be able to move switch in slots.

NOTE: It is only possible to fit the multi-function TR switch onto the selector shaft in one position.

- Position multi-function TR switch and carry out remaining installation and adjusting procedure. Adjustments
