Load Compensator: Adjustments
1. Ensure brake system is properly filled and bled.2. Lift vehicle off ground to remove load from rear axle. Press lever on brake pressure regulator toward rear of vehicle to stop.
3. On 80 models, loosen nut, then adjust roller in slot so spring is free of tension, then torque nut to 14 ft. lbs.
4. On 90 models, loosen nut and insert .040 inch drill bit between spring and plastic roller, then torque nut to 14 ft. lbs.
5. Remove drill bit and release lever.
6. Perform pressure check, refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Hydraulic System/Load Compensator/Testing and Inspection/Procedures using the following specifications:
a. On 80 models, front axle at 725 psi, rear axle must read 471-616 psi and front axle at 1450 psi, rear axle must read 783-1036 psi.
b. On 90 models, front axle at 725 psi, rear axle must read 341-544 psi and front axle at 1450 psi, rear axle must read 652-957 psi.
