Defective Fuse 29, Testing


Testing fuse 29

- If fuse 29 is defective, connect test box VAG 1598. Connecting VAG 1598 Pin Out Box

- Disconnect adapter cable VAG 1598/5 from transmission control unit

- Adjust DVOM to 20 VDC direct voltage measuring range and connect between sockets 19 and 1 on VAG 1598

- Replace fuse

- Switch on ignition

- Must be 0 volts

- If a greater voltage is measured, remedy short circuit to ground at contact 19, according to current flow diagram

- If no short circuit is detected, check wires and internal resistance of actuators.
