Component Tests and General Diagnostics

- Test system from a distance of 5 meters (15 feet) from right front fender
- If possible test outside (most unfavorable conditions) Basic function

Basic function
- Lock and unlock vehicle by pressing "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons.
- Check status of doors and trunk lid each time.
- Pressing "Lock" button causes turn signals to flash once.
- Pressing "Unlock" button causes turn signals to flash twice.
Safety function
- Unlock locked vehicle by pressing "Unlock" button.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Verify that all doors and trunk lid have automatically locked again.

Remote deactivation, checking
- Switch ignition on.
- Try to lock or unlock vehicle by pressing "Lock" or "Unlock" buttons.
- Verify that radio-operated remote control (transmitter) is deactivated and non-functional after ignition has been switched on.


NOTE: The system function is OK if the basic function, safety function and locking deactivation work with both transmitters.
