Preparation For Checking






1. After compensating for wheel runout, insert brake pedal depressor.
2. Center steering as specified in instructions for wheel alignment computer.
3. Check whether steering wheel is installed in as horizontal a position as possible on steering column when wheels are in straight-ahead position.
- Re-position accordingly, if necessary, refer to Steering.

NOTE: When re-positioning the steering wheel, the splines on the steering column permit a correction of the position of the steering wheel only in steps of 4.5°.





4. Position steering wheel in absolute horizontal position and fix in this position with steering wheel clamp.
5. Check camber and wheel toe with approved wheel alignment equipment, and correct if necessary.
