Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair


MULTI-FUNCTION TRANSMISSION RANGE (TR) SWITCH, REPLACING
Removal
- Remove left transmission support.
- Remove Multi-Function TR Switch at transmission and pull off at selector shaft.

Installation





- Install Multi-Function TR Switch onto selector shaft.
- Flat on splines in switch -3- must be positioned on flat of selector shaft -1 -.

NOTE:
- Center Multi-Function TR Switch on the selector shaft.
- Do not twist and do not use any force to install the switch.
- Damage to the contacts may result if the switch is mishandled.

- Turn switch until installation hole -4- on switch housing can be inserted onto dowel pin -2- of transmission housing.
