Rules For Cleanliness

When working on the fuel supply/injection system, the following rules of cleanliness must be carefully noted:
- Thoroughly clean connecting points and surrounding area before loosening.
- Place the removed parts on a clean surface and cover over with lint-free cloths!
- Carefully cover or close components that have been opened if repair will not be done immediately.
- Only install clean parts:
Only take replacement parts out of packaging just before install.
Do not use any parts that have been removed from their packaging (e.g. in tool boxes, etc.).
- When the fuel supply system is open:
Do not use compressed air unless absolutely necessary.
Do not move the vehicle, if possible.
