Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data

Function

This diagnostic mode performs the following functions:
- All emission relevant malfunctions in DTC memory will be erased,
- The operating conditions at which a malfunction was stored will be reset
- All adaptation values will be reset,
- All test results of the diagnostic functions will be reset.

Requirement
- DTC memory has been checked

Procedure

- Connect diagnostic tester

- Start engine and let run at idle.

- Under address word 33, select "Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data.

Doing this will erase:

- Number and content of the DTC memories.

- Operating conditions.

- Test results.

- End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
