Check Control Module Versions (Function 01)

- Connect VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system or VAG 1551 scan tool and select address word 03 for "Brake electronics".

Note: The instructions describe the diagnostic procedure for VAG 1551 scan tool. The procedure when using VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system is similar.

- Go to start position of program by pressing --> button:





Indicated on display
- Press buttons -0- and -1- for the function "Check Control Module Versions" and confirm entry with -Q- button.

Note: Also refer to the Parts List for the correct ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104- for the vehicle.





Indicated on display (Allroad = all wheel drive)

Index 1): Indicates Part No. with control module index.

Index 2): Indicates system designation.

Index 3): Indicates hardware and software status.

Control module versions








1) This is the production number, which is allocated to all alternative equipment versions. The production number also appears on the vehicle data sticker, which is inside the spare wheel well.
