Transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) -G38-, Replacing
TRANSMISSION VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) -G38-, REPLACING Note: Do not use a sensor that has been dropped (the permanent magnet will break if it is dropped).
Removing -
Remove oil pan.

Remove transmission
VSS -2-.
Installing -
Install transmission
VSS -2-, together with spacer sleeve -1 (height:
8 mm (5/16 inch).

Change or top off ATF after repair.
