Ignition Switch: Service and Repair




Ignition/Starter Switch, Removing and Installing

Removing
- Remove steering column switch.







- Disconnect harness connector for induction coil -4-.
- Disconnect harness connector -1- at ignition/starter switch -2-.
- Remove sealing paint from both mounting screws -A-.
- Loosen mounting bolts -A- somewhat and pull ignition/starter switch -2- out of steering lock housing -3- in direction of arrow.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:


NOTE: Make sure ignition/starter switch and lock cylinder are both in the same position, for example "ignition on" when installing.


- Secure mounting bolts -A- at steering lock housing with sealing paint.
