Seat Belt Switch (belt-fastened) For Rear Three-Point Seat Belt With Belt Tensioner, Checking

Connect VAG1551 or VAG1552 Scan Tool (ST), select Read Measuring Value Block (function 08) and display group 004.
Belt webbing is fully retracted.
- "NO" indicated on Scan Tool display
Belt tongue is engaged in buckle and belt webbing is extended by dimension "L".
- "YES" indicated on Scan Tool display
Pull belt webbing out to stop.
- Scan tool display must continue to display "YES" while belt is being extended
Without undoing belt buckle, extend belt to dimension "L".
- Scan tool display must continue to display "YES"
Undo belt buckle and slowly retract belt webbing,
When belt webbing has retracted by 100 mm (at the latest), the scan tool display must change from "YES" to "NO."
Belt webbing is fully retracted.
- "NO" indicated on Scan Tool display

Dimension "L"

- Sedan: dimension "L" is 250 mm for left and right seat belts. The horizontal belt adjuster is set to center position.
- Avant: dimension "L" is 220 mm for left and right seat belts. The horizontal belt adjuster is set to center position.
- Sedan and Avant: Dimension "L" is 500 mm in for center seat belts.
