Ignition Lock: Service and Repair


Ignition lock, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove steering column.





- Chisel out shear bolt.

Note:
^ Steering column must be clamped in a vice as shown for chiseling out shear bolts.
^ Mounting bracket of steering column will be damaged if work is performed with steering column installed.

Installing
- Tighten shear bolt to 20 Nm.
Head of bolt should shear off in this torque range
Perform remaining installation operations in reverse order from removal
