Navigation System With CD Drive Control Module J401, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Radio release tool T10057

CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Removing:
- Open cover for left storage compartment in luggage compartment.







- Insert radio release tools T10057 into front of unit - 2 -.
- Pull unit out from mounting frame -1 -.
- Disconnect electrical connections
- Pull out the release tools from the unit - to do this, press in the locking tabs on the unit.

Installing:
- Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following.

NOTE:
- The control module for navigation and mounting frame must be installed as free of vibrations as possible to avoid system malfunctions.
- Air circulation must also be guaranteed, i.e. the ventilation slots in the control module must not be covered when installed.

- Should a new unit be installed, perform coding and adaptation.
