Read Measuring Value Block (Function 08)

Measured Value Block, Reading

Test requirements:
- Engine coolant temperature at least 80 degrees C.
- Electrical accessories switched off (coolant fan must not run during the test).
- Air conditioning switched off.

Test sequence
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Ignition must be switched on. Connecting VAS 5051 Scan Tool

or after each required process:
- Start engine.

Display on VAS5051:







- Under -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Read measured value block".

Display on VAS5051:







1 - Enter display group: max. input value = 255
- Enter desired display group number (three figures) in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.

NOTE: The choice of display group depends on the particular functions and components to be tested.

Display zone 2
Display zone 3
Display zone 4

3 - Display group X
- Exit function "08 - Read measured value block" by pressing <- button.

NOTE:
- If no display follows, a display field is not assigned.
- To switch to a different display group, proceed as follows:

Display group VAS5051 tester
Higher Press up-arrow button.
Lower Press down-arrow button.

- Press <- button to end function "08 - Read measuring value block".
