Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair


Tiptronic switch -F189-, removing and installing
To replace the Tiptronic switch, the entire printed circuit has to be replaced.

Removing
- Remove shift mechanism cover.





- Push locking hooks down (arrows) and pull cover -2- off guide plate -1-.
- Remove printed circuit with integrated Tiptronic switch -F189-.





- Carefully separate two halves of guide plate by prying them apart (arrows).
- Remove roll cover with magnet for Tiptronic switch -Fl89-.

Installing
Install in reverse sequence, note the following points
- Install shift mechanism cover.
