Navigation Module: Service and Repair




Control Module For Navigation With CD-mechanism -J401-, Removing And Installing

The control module is located in the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment.

Removing
- Open left storage compartment in luggage compartment







- Remove screws -arrows- at installation frame -1-.
- Disconnect electrical harness connectors and antenna wire (GPS) at rear of control module for navigation with CD-mechanism and at CD-changer.
- Remove installation frame -1-.







- Remove screws -2- and remove control module for navigation with CD-mechanism -1- from installation frame.


CAUTION!
Never use bolts other than original equipment type bolts to secure control module otherwise control module can be damaged or destroyed


Installing:
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Notes for installation:
- The control module for navigation and installation frame must be installed together in horizontal position and free from vibration to avoid system trouble.
- In addition, air circulation must be ensured, meaning that ventilation slots of the control module may not be covered while installing.
- When replacing the control module, make sure to send in the completed "form for navigation system complaint" with faulty component.
