Air Injection Control Valve: Service and Repair



Removing And Installing Combination Valve For Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System







- Remove engine cover (arrows).







- Disconnect harness connector at Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor -G2-/-G62- (arrow).
- Expose electrical wiring harness on bulkhead.







- Disconnect vacuum hose (arrow) at combination valve.
- Unbolt 4 bolts at combination valve and remove combination valve.

Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following:


NOTE: Replace gaskets.


Tightening torques

Component Nm
Combination valve for Secondary Air Injection (AIR) system at cylinder head 10
Secondary Air Injection (AIR) line to cylinder head cover 10
Secondary air injection line to combination valve for secondary air injection 10
