EGR Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor, Removing And Installing







- Remove bolts (arrows) and remove engine covers -A- through -C-.







- Remove air distributor (arrows).

With secondary air







- Disconnect both connectors -2- from control modules for exhaust gas temperature sensor.
- Unscrew control module from intake manifold and expose wires.

Without secondary air







- For vehicles without secondary air, the control modules for exhaust gas temperature sensor are at rear of intake manifold, on left and right.
- Unscrew exhaust gas temperature sensor from exhaust manifold.

Installing
- Installation is the reverse of removal.

Tightening torques

Nuts and bolts M6 10 Nm
M8 20 Nm
M10 45 Nm
M12 60 Nm
Except for the following:
Sensor for exhaust temperature 27 Nm
