Access/Start Control Module -J518-, Removing And Installing

Location: Under driver's seat, under carpet.

Removing
- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault Finding" routine.
- VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnostic Testing and Information System must be used for this purpose.
- Remove driver's seat.

CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

- Remove A and B-pillar trim.
- Fold back floor covering.







- Remove screws -arrows-.
- Lay aside retainer with wiring harness.
- Remove nuts -1- and -2-.
- Disconnect electrical connectors -3- and -4- and remove Access/Start Control Module -J518-.

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torques
