Basic setting (scan tool function 04)
Initiating "Basic Setting" function 04 does the following for ESP:

Zero position adjustment of steering angle sensor -G85-
Before you can zero the sensor, you must have successfully carried out the "Login Procedure" function 11 using the VAG1551/1552 scan tool and the ABS control module -J104- must be coded.

Hydraulic pump for traction control -V156-, activating
Activation of the hydraulic pump for traction control -V156- does not require any preparations. It is used to bleed the hydraulic system.

ESP, checking via road test
The ESP driving test is used to test the plausibility of the signals from the sensor for transverse acceleration, yaw sensor and press sensor (arrow) button.
