Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair



Removing
- Discharge A/C refrigerant system Service and Repair
- Remove front bumper as complete unit.





- Remove bolts -A-.
- Disconnect refrigerant line -B-. Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ft. lb)





- Remove nuts -D-.
- Remove accumulator together with bracket.
- Disconnect refrigerant line -B-.
Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ft. lb)

NOTE: Replace both O-rings (17.2 mm x 1.8 mm).

- Seal off all open connections.


Installing
Install refrigerant lines free of stress and make sure there is sufficient clearance between lines and other components.





- When installing the accumulator in the bracket, always install insulation -F-.





- Install spring -C- so it is positioned against marking on refrigerant hose and engaged on bracket.
