Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, reading
^ Connect VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System. In selection touch vehicle system "02 Transmission Electronics". Ignition must be switched on.





Display on VAS 5051
^ In selection -1- touch diagnostic function "02 Read DTC memory".





Display on VAS 5051:
1. Contents of the DTC memory:
^ 0 DTC detected
or
^ X DTC's detected
2. DTC
^ DTC
^ Location of DTC
^ Type of DTC

A - If DTC's were recognized:
^ Print out contents of screen or OBD protocol.
^ End function "02 Read DTC memory" by touching44 button.





Display on VAS 5051
^ Repair malfunction(s) using DTC Chart.
^ In selection touch diagnostic function "02 Read DTC memory" again and delete DTC memory.
^ Touch "06 End output'.

B - If no DTC was detected:
^ Touch "06 End output'.
