Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104 (with ESP), removing and installing
- For vehicles equipped with coded anti-theft radio, note radio code, obtain if necessary.
See Caution before beginning repairs on the electrical system
- Disconnect battery.





ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104- is located under floor covering in front passenger's footwell
Replace control module
- Remove bottom A-pillar trim.
- Remove floor covering.
- Loosen screws securing ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104-.
- Unplug connector from ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104-.
- Install new control module in reverse sequence.
Tightening torque of screws 9 Nm.
- Enter radio code.
