Memory Positioning Module: Service and Repair



Control Module For Power Seat With Memory, Removing And Installing

NOTE:
- Control module for power seat with memory is located beneath seat.
- With malfunctioning control module, the upper frame of seat pan with backrest must be removed.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Torque Wrench V.A.G 1783







- Engine and Transmission Holder VAS 6095







- Fixture for Seat Repair VAS 6136







- Removing
- Remove seat.
- Attach Fixture for Seat Repair VAS 6136 on Engine and Transmission Holder VAS 6095.
- Secure front seat on Fixture for Seat Repair VAS 6136.
- Remove bolts - 2 - (2x).
- Turn the control module - 1 - around.







- Disengage retaining bracket - 4 - and disconnect connector - 5 -.
- Press in catches - 3 - (2x) and disconnect connector - 2 -.
- Remove control module - 1 -.
- Remove nuts (2x) to remove control module from brackets (2x).

- Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Tightening torques for bolts - 2 - : 1.5 Nm
