Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or " Guided Functions".

- Select the function or path:





- Follow further instructions on display of (VAS 5051B).

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.





- Remove the front ashtray insert - 1 -, press button - arrow - to do so.

- Unscrew bolt - arrow - and remove front ashtray housing.





- Unplug connector.

- Pull off center console switch panel upward - arrows -.





- Unplug connectors.

- Remove bolt - 3 -.





- If equipped, remove the safety pin - 1 - - arrow -.

- Remove the access/start authorization button (E408) or driver identification control module (J589) - item 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order.
