Damaged threads, servicing
Replace damaged Helicoil thread inserts with the next larger version. Note the following when doing so:
^ A thread must only be repaired once.

WARNING: It is essential to wear protective goggles when drilling.

^ The Helicoil thread inserts must have a zinc-nickel coating.
^ The thread insert must be the same length as the thread in the body.
^ The foreman or line manager must inspect the thread repair.
^ Shavings which remain in the body must be immersed in wax.
