Steering Gear, Checking Center Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Steering centering bolt (VAS 6224)

- Perform the steering centering based on instructions from the alignment computer.

- Install the (VAS 6224) to center the steering rack. Refer to => [ Centering Steering ] Centering Steering.

- Make sure the steering wheel is positioned horizontally on the steering column when the wheels are in the "straight ahead" position.

Otherwise the centering of steering rack toothed shaft cannot be guaranteed!
