Start the engine and let run at idle.

Seal the tailpipe, with a cloth or plug, for the duration of the leak test.

Listen for leaks at the following connections: cylinder head/
exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold/turbocharger, turbocharger/
catalytic converter etc.

Repair any detected leaks.
