Fuel Level Sensor 2, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Test Sequence

- Remove luggage compartment floor lining.

- Remove cover for right connector flange (- arrows -).





- Carefully release and disconnect electrical harness connector - 1 - on right connector flange.





- Connect multimeter between terminal 2 and 4 on connector - B - for resistance measurement.









- For measured value 0 ohms there is a short circuit, for measured value infinite ohms an open circuit.

• To check resistance values "tank full" or "tank empty", Fuel Level Sensor 2 must be removed, refer to Repair Information and the sensor floater must be placed in upper or lower end position.

With sender for fuel gauge removed, the following values are obtained because of the great bending of floater arm:
