Heated Glass Control Module: Service and Repair






Heated Windshield Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80 - 200)

• Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B)

Removing

• All cable ties opened or cut during engine removal must be reinstalled at the same locations during installation.

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" with the (VAS 5051B).

- Remove battery. Refer to => [ Battery ] Battery.

- Open the cover - 1 -.





- Detach wire - arrow -.

- Lift clip - arrow - with (80 - 200).





- Remove bolt - 3 - at ground connection.

- Remove nut - 2 -.

- Loosen nut - 1 - one turn and remove heated windshield control module (J505) with wires connected.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• Attach all cable ties at the same locations when installing.

- Install battery. Refer to => [ Installing ] Battery.
