Final Control Diagnosis

NOTE:
- Outline of the "Final control diagnosis" function is given. When performing "Final control diagnosis" function by way of Guided Fault-Finding, appropriate information is given on function of various components during final control diagnosis "Guided Fault-Finding" function of Diagnostic Operation System VAS 5051.
- Note the following as regards final control diagnosis:
- Request for actuation of radiator fans (0 to 100%) is transmitted by Climatronic Control Module J255 to relevant engine control module. Fan is however only switched on by engine control module when engine is running.
- Final control diagnosis can only be implemented at vehicle speeds below 5 km/h.
- For locations of components actuated.
- If necessary, final control diagnosis can be repeated several times.
- Control element malfunctions are stored in DTC memory.
- Air conditioner control action and display of Climatronic Control Module J255 (and Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265) are deactivated during final control diagnosis. "Segment test" function is only function during which display segments of Climatronic Control Module J255 (Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265) are actuated.
- Air conditioner control motors are moved into a predetermined position by Climatronic Control Module J255 (Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265) after selecting "Final control diagnosis" function. During final control diagnosis, it is therefore not necessary to wait for control motors to reach a specified position.
