Tiptronic Switch

• To replace Tiptronic Switch (F189), circuit board must be replaced.=> [ (Item 6) Printed circuit board ] Selector Mechanism Cover, Selector Lever Handle Assembly Overview

• If malfunctions at Tiptronic Switch (F189) occur, check first whether magnet at control slide masking panel is properly secured and replace masking panel if necessary. Before replacing the printed circuit, check the wiring.

Removing

- Remove cover for shift mechanism. Refer to => [ Shift Mechanism Cover ] Shift Mechanism Cover.

- Press down retaining hooks - arrows - toward the inside and pull off cover - 2 - from guide - 1 -.





- Remove the circuit board with the integrated Tiptronic Switch (F189) from the cover - 2 -.

• The cover strip with the Tiptronic Switch (F189 ) solenoid can be remove if necessary. The cover strip is available only together with the guide as a replacement part.

- Separate both guide parts by applying careful prying movements - arrows -.





- Remove masking panel with magnet for Tiptronic Switch (F189).

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Install cover for shift mechanism. Refer to => [ Shift Mechanism Cover ] Shift Mechanism Cover.
