Right Suction Jet Pump

Removing

Observe safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Fuel Supply System.

Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Fuel Supply System.

- Remove right fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Right Fuel Delivery Unit with Fuel Pump ] MPI Engines.

- Remove right Fuel Level Sensor 4 (G393) (tubular sensor) out of fuel tank.

- Reach through the right opening in the fuel tank, press the release button and disconnect the suction jet line - arrow - from the reservoir.





- Through the left fuel tank opening, separate the suction jet pipes - 2 - and - 3 - from Y-piece, by pressing release buttons.





- Through the left fuel tank opening, press the release buttons - arrows - and remove fuel delivery line - 2 -.





• Ignore - 1 -.

- Pull the fuel delivery line out through the right fuel tank opening.

- Through the right fuel tank opening, press the release button - arrow - and pull the bracket for the suction jet pipes from the mounting.





- Pull the right suction jet pipe with lines out toward the right fuel tank opening.

Installing

- Version with baffle plate: Set the right suction jet pump - 1 - into the fuel tank so that it is positioned in the recess of the front fuel tank baffle plate - 2 -, as shown in the illustration.





- Press the suction jet pump bracket into the mount until it engages audibly.

- Feed the fuel delivery line through the right fuel tank opening into the left chamber of the fuel tank. Observe the routing:





• The fuel delivery line - 1 - must be routed under the fuel filling line - 2 - in the area of the left fuel tank opening.

• Ignore - 3 -.

- Press the fuel delivery line - 2 - onto the left fuel delivery unit until it engages audibly.





• Ignore - 1 -.

- Feed the suction jet line through the right fuel tank opening into the left chamber of the fuel tank.

- Through the left fuel tank opening, push the suction jet lines - 2 - and - 3 - onto the Y-fitting until they engage audibly.





- Reach through the right opening in the fuel tank and attach the suction jet line - arrow - onto the reservoir until it audibly engages.





- Insert Fuel Level Sensor 4 (G393) in fuel tank.

- Install right fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Right Fuel Delivery Unit with Fuel Pump ] MPI Engines.
