Front Axle ABS Component Overview





1 - Hex head bolt

• Tightening specification: 10 Nm..

2 - Wheel speed sensor

• Left and right sensors are identical.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Wheel Speed Sensor ] Front Wheel Speed Sensor.

• Before inserting into the wheel bearing housing, lubricate the circumference with grease (G 000 650).

• Press into the wheel bearing housing onto the stop.

3 - Drive axle

• Checking the rotor for dirt and damage, refer to => [ Front axle rotor, checking/removing and installing ] Front Wheel Speed Sensor.

• If the rotor is damaged, the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint must be replaced together with the rotor. Refer to => [ Front axle rotor, checking/removing and installing ] Front Wheel Speed Sensor, or to.

• The outer CV joint is supplied as a replacement part with the rotor.

4 - Speed sensor wire

• Install into the retainers provided.

5 - Hex head bolt

• Always replace

Vehicle must be resting on the ground when tightening.
