The measured values of the sunlight photo sensor (G107) and the resulting calculated sunlight

The display value of the sunlight photo sensor ( G107) can be changed by illuminating the sensor with a suitable lamp.

If always approx. 900 watts per m2 (corresponds to approx. 4.5 volts) sun is displayed regardless of the illumination of the sunlight photo sensor (G107), check the wiring to the sunlight photo sensor (G107) for incorrect connection according to the wiring diagram.

The displayed sunlight value depends greatly on the time of year/day and the location of the vehicle (in Central Europe up to approx. 900 watts per m2 are displayed at maximum sunlight in summer).

If a fixed value is displayed in display fields "1" to " 4" independent of sunlight, check the allocation of the sunlight photo sensor (G107) to the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head.

The Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head and the sunlight photo sensor (G107) are available in various versions. Therefore follow the assignment exactly when replacing an A/C control head.

Starting with VIN "400000" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and "012913" of model year 2005 (Cabrio), a modified sunlight photo sensor (G107) and a modified Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head are installed. Only the sunlight photo sensor (G107) with part number 8E0 907 539 may be installed for the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number up to index "AH". Only the sunlight photo sensor (G107) with part number 8P0 907 539 may be installed for the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number from index "AJ".

If the allocation between Sunlight Photo Sensor ( G107) and A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) is incorrect, A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) cannot evaluate the signal from Sunlight Photo Sensor (G107) and A/C system control will malfunction.
