CAUTION!
• Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.

• On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module service mode before disconnecting Battery (A). Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

If the battery is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the battery. Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module ( J526) service mode. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

All Radios (R) are coded to Comfort in the instrument cluster (anti-theft coding). When removing and installing the same Radio (R), coding is not necessary after disconnecting voltage supply when removing and installing the same instrument cluster.

Radio generation II+ introduced from November 2006.

This uses two internal tuners with "phase diversity" for reception.

Further removal steps are the same as with the "symphony" radio.

If "Transport" appears in the display after switching on the Radio (R), transport mode must be deactivated. Refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
