Wheel Bearing Housing (Aluminum)



Wheel bearing housing (aluminum) all wheel drive, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove hex socket head bolt for drive axle.
- Remove wheels.





- Remove securing bolts - 1 - from brake caliper.
- Remove brake caliper and tie up on body.
- Remove brake disc.





- Remove hex socket head bolt - 1 -.
- Remove ABS speed sensor - 2 - from wheel bearing housing.





- Remove bolt - 1 - for coupling rod.





- Remove bolt - A - for tie rod.
- Mark installation position of eccentric washer for bolt - B -.
- Remove bolt - B -.





- Remove bolt - 2 - for transverse link - 1 -.
- Pull wheel bearing housing off drive axle.

Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent. The mountings of the suspension links must only be tightened when the suspension is in the curb weight position.

Otherwise, the bushing would be subject to torsion loading and its service life shortened.

After installation, check position of steering wheel by test-driving vehicle.

Wheel alignment must be checked and adjusted if steering wheel is not centered.
