Telephone Handset - Telephone Fixed Installation, Adapting, up to Model Year 02

If the telephone transceiver (R36) was replaced, then the Bluetooth connection between telephone transceiver and telephone handset (R37) must be adapted anew.

The adaptation process is performed with the menu of the telephone handset.

- Switch on MMI and telephone handset. Telephone handset lies in the Telephone Baseplate (R126).

- Press the Menu button on the telephone handset and select "Bluetooth".

- Confirm with the OK button.

- Select "vehicle base station" and press the OK button to confirm.

- Select "new scan" and press the OK button to confirm. The search process will be started. The process will last up to 30 seconds.

If the Bluetooth device is detected, its name will appear in the display of telephone handset: "BT-Audi D3".

- Select "Connect".

"Connection successful" appears in display of telephone handset.

- Then perform a function test of the telephone.
