Daytime Running Lamps, Replacing Bulbs
• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment.
Removing
CAUTION!
Danger to life due to high voltage.
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) cable. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
Left Headlamp - Vehicles with 6-cyl. Gasoline Engine
- Remove reservoir for power steering => [ ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.
Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 6-cyl. Gasoline Engine
- Remove air filter housing => [ Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles With 6-Cylinder Gasoline Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.
Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 4.2L MPI Engine
- Remove air filter housing => [ Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 4.2L MPI Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.
Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 4.2L FSI Engine
- Remove air filter housing => [ Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 4.2L FSI Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.
Left Headlamp - Vehicles with 10-cyl. Gasoline Engine
- Remove air filter housing => [ Left Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 10-cyl. Gasoline Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.
Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 10-cyl. Gasoline Engine
- Remove air filter housing => [ Right Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 10-cyl. Gasoline Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.
All:
- Release securing guides - arrows - and remove headlamp housing cover.
- Turn socket counter-clockwise - arrow - and remove from headlamp housing.
- Remove lamp from socket.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
- Insert bulb in housing, taking care not to touch glass bulb with bare hands.
- Secure socket by turning clockwise.
- Close the housing lid.
- Connect battery. Required actions => [ Vehicles with : ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
