^ Vehicle shudders briefly before a stop.
^ Downshifting into first gear is uncomfortable.
^ Downshifting into first gear feels delayed in stop-and-go traffic.

Service
1. Try to reproduce the customer complaint so that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB.
If this TSB applies, follow the steps below.
2. Using the SVM software chart above, determine whether the vehicle requires a software update.
If the transmission control unit (J217) is below the listed new version, update the gearbox control unit via SVM.
3. Follow all instructions in the attachment shown in this bulletin TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
