ATF Cooler, ATF Pipes and ATF Filter Assembly Overview

1 ATF cooler

• Integrated in cooler

• Removing and installing, refer to

2 O-Ring

• Replace

• Coat with ATF before inserting

3 ATF pipe - hose line - return

• First insert the ATF pipe-hose lines with new O-rings by hand as far as the stop

• Cleaning, refer to => [ ATF Lines and Cooler, Cleaning ] Service and Repair

4 O-Ring

• Replace

• Coat with ATF before inserting

5 ATF pipe - hose line - supply

• First insert the ATF pipe-hose lines with new O-rings by hand as far as the Stop

• Cleaning, refer to => [ ATF Lines and Cooler, Cleaning ] Service and Repair

6 Bolts

• 5 Nm

7 Union nut

• 29 Nm

8 Bolt

• 9 Nm

9 Bolt

• 9 Nm

10 ATF pipe - supply

• Mark the ATF pipe - hose line for installing

• Removing and Installing: 4-cylinder vehicles engine, refer to => [ ATF Pipes, 4-Cylinder ] ATF Pipes, 4-Cylinder, vehicles with 6-cylinder engine => [ ATF Pipes, 6-Cylinder ] ATF Pipes, 6-Cylinder

• Cleaning, refer to => [ ATF Lines and Cooler, Cleaning ] Service and Repair

11 ATF line, return

• Mark the ATF pipe - hose line for installing

• Removing and Installing: 4-cylinder vehicles engine, refer to => [ ATF Pipes, 4-Cylinder ] ATF Pipes, 4-Cylinder, vehicles with 6-cylinder engine => [ ATF Pipes, 6-Cylinder ] ATF Pipes, 6-Cylinder

• Cleaning, refer to => [ ATF Lines and Cooler, Cleaning ] Service and Repair

12 Retaining clip

• Press the circlip on the ATF pipe and ATF filter connection; pull on it to make sure the circlip is correctly installed

13 O-Ring

• Replace

14 Bolt

• 9 Nm

15 ATF filter

• Refer to => [ ATF Filter ] 0B5A Automatic Transmission

16 Bolt

• 9 Nm

17 Bolt

• First insert the ATF lines with new O-rings by hand as far as the stop

• The retaining tab on the lower ATF line must lie in the threaded hole in the transmission.

• The retaining tab on the upper ATF line must line on the bottom one.

• 20 Nm

18 O-Ring

• Replace

• Coat with ATF before inserting

19 Union nut

• 29 Nm
