Front Seat Backrest Adjustment Motors V45/V46 Assembly Overview

For clarity reasons, the backrest is shown without lumbar support, padding and cover.

A Coupe backrest frame is shown in the illustration. The Roadster backrest frame is the same, only the entry assistance release cable shown in the illustration is not installed.






1 Backrest adjustment motor

Driver side (V45)

Passenger side (V46)

May not be replaced. Refer to => [ Driver's Backrest Adjustment Motor V45 or V46 ] Driver's Backrest Adjustment Motor V45 or V46

If there is damage to the motor, replace backrest frame with backrest adjustment motor, shaft and housing. Refer to => [ Driver's Backrest Adjustment Motor V45 or V46 ] Driver's Backrest Adjustment Motor V45 or V46

2 Front backrest

Only backrests shown

3 Rivet

Do not remove

4 Housing with stop switch coupling

Driver Backrest Stop Switch (E69) or front passenger backrest stop switch (E70) are installed in the housing

do not remove the housing from the shaft => [ (Item 5) Shaft ] or the component will be damaged

The driver backrest stop switch (E69) or front passenger backrest stop switch (E70) may not be replaced. Refer to => [ Front Seat Backrest Stop Switches E69 and E70 ] Front Seat Backrest Stop Switches E69 and E70
