Wheel Alignment Measurement Procedure
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Wheel Alignment Computer (V.A.G 1813) or VW-/Audi-approved alignment unit
• Brake Pedal Actuator (V.A.G 1869/2)
• Insert Tool 18 mm (T10179)
• Shock Absorber Set (T10001)
Work Procedure for Axle Alignment, Overview
• Vehicle must only be measured at curb weight Wheel Alignment Test Prerequisites.
Observe the Following Work Sequence!
1 Check front axle camber and adjust if necessary.
a Front and all wheel drive => [ Front Axle Camber, Adjusting ] Front Axle Camber, Adjusting
2 Check rear axle camber and adjust if necessary.
a Front and all wheel drive => [ Rear Axle Camber, Adjusting ] Rear Axle Camber, Adjusting
3 Check rear axle toe and adjust if necessary.
a Front and all wheel drive => [ Rear Axle Toe, Adjusting ] Rear Axle Toe, Adjusting
4 Check front axle toe and adjust if necessary.
a Front and all wheel drive => [ Front Axle Toe, Adjusting ] Front Axle Toe, Adjusting.
5 If adjustments were made at the suspension during axle alignment on vehicles with ESP or ABS, calibrate the steering angle sensor (G85) and reprogram the steering => [ Wheel Alignment ] Wheel Alignment.
6 On vehicles with level control sensor, headlamp range control basic setting must be performed after a axle alignment. Refer to => [ Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76) and Right Rear Level Control System Sensor (G77) ] Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76) and Right Rear Level Control System Sensor (G77).
