A-Pillar Lower Trim







A-Pillar Lower Trim

Removal and installation is described for the driver side of the vehicle. The procedure on the passenger side is the same.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing






- Remove the instrument panel side cover. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Cover ] Instrument Panel Side Cover.

- Remove the driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover ] Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover.

- Remove the cable operating lever. Refer to => [ Cable Operating Lever ] Cable Operating Lever.

- Remove lower A-pillar trim bolt - 1 -.

- Unclip lower A-pillar trim - 2 - from the side member - arrow - using the trim removal wedge (3409).

- Pull the lower A-pillar trim back and remove it from the upper A-pillar trim.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

If the trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Driver Side:

- Slide the lower A-pillar trim into the upper A-pillar trim and into the footrest.

Passenger Side:

- Slide the lower A-pillar trim into the upper A-pillar trim and into the floor covering.

Procedure for Both Sides of Vehicle:

- Clip the lower A-pillar trim in on the side member and stretch the door seal lip over.
